The app

PlainPic reads, sorts and cleans the photos on your iPhone. It does all of this on the phone. It does not send your photos or their metadata to us or to any third party, and it has no account, analytics or advertising.

The app keeps a scan index on your iPhone: a fingerprint and the findings for each photo it scanned. The index lets the next scan skip photos it has seen. Deleting the app deletes the index.

When a photo is stored only in iCloud, the app asks Apple Photos for the full photo before it scans or cleans it. Apple handles that download under the Apple privacy policy.

Purchases go through the App Store. We do not see your name, email address or payment details.
